I’ve had problems recently with KEEN through CJ. They owed me $1,200 in commissions and were trying to say the emails that were used were suspicious. I contacted CJ and they say that it doesn’t appear that I did any thing fraudulent, yet I have to appeal to the publisher and CJ will do nothing to back me up. I have busted my butt to promote these people and now I get shafted because they aren’t finding the promotions to be a profitable as they hoped. KEEN said that not enough of the people who signed up through my links came back and spent more money. How is that my fault? Maybe their psychics suck and the people were unhappy?? The bottom line is that I’ve been cheated out of $1,200 and CJ doesn’t seem to care at all.

As an advertiser I find C a bit clunky to use. Finding information within your account can be a time consuming process. And they can be difficult as far as the “rules” that control how your account works. that being said, we have had success in partnering with good and ethical publishers. We chose CJ over others in the industry because at the time they had the largest network. But we are considering other companies in addition to include the marketers that CJ seems to easily discount and/or block from program approval.

Commission Junction is a scam, or at least very unethical in the way they do business.

We had about $30 in commissions stolen from us by Commission Junction. Not a lot of money, sure, but if they do that to thousands of people, it adds up! What happened was that unknown to us, they marked our account as “dormant”, saying that we had not had a sale in 6 months. Maybe that is true, but they never notified us that our account had gone “dormant”, and without any notification whatsoever, starting deducting $10 per month for some type of fee until all of the money was gone, then deactivated our account, again without any notification to us. In the meantime, we continued to promote their links, and made at least 2 commissionable sales, which we were not credited for. Probably CJ got the commissions from the client and just kept them for themselves, since the sales were made through an affiliate link.

Bottom line is, do not trust Commission Junction – it is little more than a scam and a huge waste of your time and effort.

Commission Junction does have some good offers for the affiliate and the site is easy enough to neogoiate. Support is lame and nonexistant. I use controled sales to make sure I’m getting credit for my slaes and have found sales aren’t tracked unless cookies are enabled. WTF is that, I would think in this security heightened atmosphere that most users have disabled cookies. I called for assistance and like the poster above was told to contact the merchant direct. After many emails each including the specifics of each controled sale….No assistance whatsoever. So I guess I just move on to another Network and hope they are more honest. CJ Doesn’t instill confidence in me enough tyo continue with them. So on to the Hugh task of link replacements and Website designs. I started to become suspicious when The ctr from my ads were high but without sales, I know thats possible but not probable, so I would have friends and myself make small purchases to see if they showed up. Out of 10 sales only 2 showed up. I’m very dissappointed but am determined to move forward. If you consider this network be wary. I’m done with them.

So I’ve been with CJ since 2005. I signed up with hundreds of affiliates, and placed their smartzone code on thousands of pages. From 2005-2010 I was providing them with 3,000,000 page impressions a year, 8000-10000 a day all from organic search engine traffic. .

At first checks were coming in rather steadily (always a low amount) Back then you only needed $25 to get a check. Then about 2 years ago the checks stopped. I somehow only accumulated $38.70 from 8,000,000 page impressions and 8000+ clicks since my last check.

To put how lame CJ is into perspective, from 2005-2010, I have made $50,000 some odd dollars from their competition that run on the exact same pages. I’ve made less than $300 from cj.com in those same years.

I let all of this ride because it would be a lot of work to remove all of their code from literally 3000 web pages. I let it ride because it cost me nothing to use… so I thought.

This is where the scam comes in. I logged in yesterday… and I noticed they charged me a fee of $10. I asked a question of their support and they that’s because I had not had a sale in 6 months (Hard to believe, 1.3 million impressions in those 6 months) That’s funny because in December my wife bought a “Letter from Santa” for the kiddo for Christmas. Where did that sale go? Googling CJ.com scam, I see that I am not alone.

I never even mentioned the sale yet, before I had a chance, they canceled my account (!!!) and said they were sending me a check for my remaining balance. GEE THANKS!!

So I am advising that people avoid CJ.com or to be very wary of their practices. I am only upset with myself for sharing my real estate and having their ads competing with links from http://www.ad.ai that could have been making me real money.

One of the WORST networks I’ve ever worked with. Commissions are always delayed, clueless affiliate managers. Tracking is a joke and frankly I would not recommend anyone to waste their time with them.

It’s plus and minus, the best offer is the arrangement they have with GoDaddy. If a purchase is made for annual hosting through your link, you get back $105 per sale. The downside is, they track using cookies which often fail due to browser issues. If you call them on a sale you definitely made, their response is to “Contact the advertiser directly through our website e-mail.” So now, you have worked hard publishing and since the cookie did not register, you will now fight to prove the sale was generated your affiliate link. Then if a payment check is “Lost” in the mail, they hit you with a $25 reissue fee and THEN ANOTHER 30 DAYS DELAY TIME! Wow, good thing you have all my info, someday I may collect.

They are not good company, I have summer specific PPS product and they want to deactivate my account due no commusion. No support at all. It total crap. I don’t like them. Why i cant call or write to support io i have an isue?

“Consequently, per the Publisher Service Agreement, we regularly deactivate accounts that are not actively earning commissions and do not have a sufficient balance amount. Your account has been deemed inactive and is scheduled for deactivation in the next 30 days for dormancy. Please note that while your account is deactivated, you will not track or earn commissions and your advertiser relationships may expire.”

Loved the opportunity and may be a little slow to learn but instructions not clear. I never had any tracking. Support information is hard to find. E-mail questions were unanswered. Never received any payout. Maybe the customers were just not clicking on the affiliates.

BS! (I was forced to give a least one star or I couldn’t submit this review, in no way is it deserved. They do have a shit load of offers though, but the odds are you won’t be approved for them)

1)No one to contact.

2) No response to several emails sent.

3) One of their merchants owe me over $10,000 and there has been no help whatsoever, in helping me resolve the issue or get paid, to add insult to injury the merchant is still on the CJ network.

4) Sales rarely track.

I was attracted to this network because off all the great things I heard about them and I honestly use to make tons of money marketing their campaigns, but somehow things went down with this network and it’s a shame.

I like CJ, but do have some issues with them. The biggest problem is that is nearly impossible to get any support. Hard to find any contact information for CJ. Also, the $100 min can be a but much for people just starting out and to add insult to injury, you dont get your earnings at all if it takes 3 months to make it.

I dont know what so many others have had such a hard with CJ. Perhaps it’s different as a publisher, but as a merchant, I find CJ the absolute best!!!!

My CJ reps are always quick to replying to emails, I mean quick;; within the hour, usually less! Interface is clean and super easy to navigate. Tracking seems to be off a little bit at times, but always ends up being accurate. Basically, everything I get from them is what I need. Especially as a merchant, their list of advertisers/publishers are top notch, as in 3 short months, our program was able to drive over 6-digit in sales p/ month. Not even close to that with my other network.

So to end, Overall, ABSOLUTE BEST, support is great, and tracking is still good despite some minor inaccuracies.

years ago CJ would be on my top list, these days not even a thought! If i was running a comparison shopping site i would still use them, but no good for my SEO or email lists. But like anything – worth a look.

Its been 4 years with this network, and I found it very hard to work with them as an affiliate. The support is the worst. If they don’t like your question they will never reply. And for those they reply, most of those are irrelevant to the question. I had to give 1 star to the support.
The only reason CJ is alive today is due to the amount of top advertisers it have. But that thing is changing, I can clearly see that.

I do praise one feature of CJ, that is they can send payment by Courier service FedEx. I’m international affiliate and direct deposit is not available for my country. So I have to stick to snail mail check. FedEx is a great convenience for me. The only networks I know of that send checks by courier are CJ and ShareASale.
